Fiona Yun-Jui Chang and her 5-year-old daughter Remi invite twenty participants to join their Blue Sky Project:
“I want to see the blue sky again” Remi said when the massive wildfires blazed across California, causing unbearable air pollution. The Golden State landscape was instantly erased by heavy smoke. The blue sky that we’ve so believed in is becoming to the next generation an uncertainty. What should have been childhood memories of basking in sunshine and fresh air is replaced with wearing masks and the humming of air purifiers. Homes and lives are burning. Fiona and Remi send participants a free blue sky image. Participants will install the blue sky image where it can be viewed daily and shared with friends:
“We hope Blue Sky serves as a reminder and a seed of collective learning actions to rebuild a liveable future together.”
